West Allotment Celtic return to home action on Saturday as Ryton & Crawcrook Albion make the trip to Whitley Park.
With the season drawing to a close there are so few points separating the top eleven in the league that a couple of victories now could have a massive effect on what position Allotment end the season in. Saturday’s visit of Ryton & Crawcrook Albion is the first in a run of three home games for Celtic giving them an excellent chance of pushing up the league.
Allotment’s form has been patchy of late but an excellent battling performance last time out away at league leaders Team Northumbria showed the team is more than capable of matching the best sides in the league. The draw raised morale following defeats at Esh Winning and Whickham.
Albion were 1-0 winners when the two clubs met at The Albion Ground back in November and have recorded two comfortable victories over Chester Le Street and Northallerton Town in recent weeks. Last Saturday they were held to a 1-1 draw by Thornaby so will be looking to bounce back with victory over Celtic.
Saturday’s match is a 3pm kick off. Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.
